In this book by Glenn Packiam we are told not only the author’s personal journey but also woven within is a message that shows an approach for changing the world by simply starting small, starting now, and starting local. The author argues that just as a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil can affect the weather in Texas, ”small changes can make a big difference.” Packiam draws on the story of Nehemiah to illustrate his position because “despite his humble beginnings, he finds himself in the middle of a moment that changes history … Nehemiah decided that he must go to Jerusalem and do something about the condition of the city.”
